E-Books and Print Books

Western Libraries collects e-books along with print books. You can find e-books and print books the same way, through Western's Library Catalogue (OMNI). You can search by a known title or author, or by keyword or subject searching. For an overview of how to use the library catalogue, see the OMNI Help Guide.

Google Books

Google Books is a great way to perform a preliminary search for books before turning to the library website. If a book is out of copyright, or if a publisher has given Google permission, you will be able to see a preview to determine its usefulness for your research. In certain cases, you will have access to entire chapters of books or even to entire books as downloadable PDF files.

Interlibrary Loans (RACER)

RACER is an online Interlibrary Loan system used to search for material and place requests. To access RACER you must have an account. To create your account, you need to register. If you have already registered, simply login. Please keep in mind that your University ID number is used as your login and your password is created by you.
