Welcome to Western Libraries' Health and Well-being Guide. This guide is a supplement to the book collection located in the Allyn & Betty Taylor Library.  The information in this guide focuses on general health and well-being in everyday life. For additional information please visit the Taylor Library, located in the Natural Sciences Building to browse our book collection on the Main Floor.

Health Literacy

As well as providing health and well-being information, this guide also acknowledges the importance of Health Literacy. Health Literacy is defined as " ...the degree to which an individual has the capacity to obtain, communicate, process, and understand basic health information and services in order to make appropriate health decisions."
