Canadian Centre for Alternatives to Animal Methods
The Canadian Centre for Alternatives to Animal Methods (CCAAM) and its subsidiary, the Canadian Centre for the Validation of Alternative Methods (CCVAM), aim to develop, validate, and promote methodologies in biomedical research, education, and chemical toxicity testing that do not require the use of animals.

European Union Reference Laboratory for Alternatives to Animal Testing (EURL ECVAM)
EURL ECVAM is a source of expert advice on:
• theoretical and practical aspects of the validation of new tests;
• the current state of validation of alternative methods for use in toxicology and the biosciences in general;
• in vitro tests for topical toxicity, embryotoxicity, haematotoxicity, metabolism-mediated toxicity, metal toxicity, neurotoxicity and nephrotoxicity; and
• general animal welfare issues (scientific and ethical), such as the use of transgenic animals.
Fund for the Replacement of Animals in Medical Experiments (FRAME)
The mission of FRAME is to support the timely development and implementation of scientifically valid methods which will provide reliable data and replace the need for animal experiments.
Norecopa is Norway's National Consensus Platform for the advancement of "the 3 Rs" (Replacement, Reduction, Refinement) in connection with animal experiments. Norecopa is responsible for the ongoing development of the NORINA database which is an English-language database containing information on over 3,000 audiovisual aids that may be used as alternatives or supplements to the use of animals in education and training.

Ontario Ministry for Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA)
