U.S. and international surveys on all topics; the world's largest social science-focused data archive.

Harvard Dataverse
Houses data from important studies in the U.S. and elsewhere. See for example the Murray Archive of historic datasets with diverse samples, or the contemporary COVID-19 Collection

The U.K. Data Service
Home to over 50 years of social science data on the United Kingdom. 

International Opinion Data

Roper Center
The Roper Center collection houses opinion polls from the U.S. and around the world. Includes major current and historical collections from Japan, Russia, Europe, Brazil, Mexico and other countries.

The World Values Survey
A repeated cross-sectional survey done by an international consortium of social scientists of the beliefs and values of more than 90 countries around the world. Some years include Canada.

Pew Global Attitudes Project
A U.S. think tank conducts these surveys of attitudes and trends around the globe. Different policy topics and different groups of countries are covered in each survey.

Global Barometer Surveys and Eurobarometer
An international, collaborative opinion survey project. The Global Barometers were modeled after the separate Eurobarometer.

Comparative Study of Electoral Systems (CSES)
Participating countries (including Canada) include a common module of survey questions in their post-election studies. The studies are then merged into a single, free, public dataset for use in comparative study. Complete data files for many of the contributing countries' election studies are also linked from this site.

International Population Data

The International Household Survey Network
A catalog of mostly demographic household surveys from around the world that can be searched by country or survey series.

Demographic and Health Surveys
Surveys of mostly low and middle income countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, Middle East and Europe. Topics focus on fertility, family planning, maternal and child health, gender issues, and nutrition. 

World Bank Living Standards Measurement Study Program
Studies of economic development in lower and middle income countries focusing on education, income, and wealth, with other household variables.

The ARDA - Association of Religion Data Archives
Surveys of the public on religion. Primarily U.S. but some Canadian and international surveys are present.
