Finding Primary Sources

a. Web of Science

Explore the database with multidisciplinary coverage of over 10,000 high-impact journals in the sciences, social sciences, and arts and humanities, as well as international proceedings coverage for over 120,000 conferences. Web of Science is the largest citation database.

b. Scopus

Scopus is a large abstract and citation database of research literature and quality web sources. Updated daily, Scopus covers 29 million abstracts of over 15,000 peer-reviewed titles from more than 4,000 publishers, 265 million references and 265 million quality web pages through Scirus' web search to cover the scientific web.

Note: Web of Science and Scopus are keyword search engines, as many other databases (exclude SciFinder Scholar - a natural language search engine). Boolean search strategies can be used on keyword search engines to find relevant records.
