Covers the history and culture of the United States and Canada from prehistoric times to the present. This bibliographic database provides citations and abstracts of articles, books, and dissertations, as well as link-outs to full text. In many cases, embedded full text is supplied. From 1989 onward, the database also includes citations for reviews of films, videos, and non-print media.

Western Libraries collects e-books along with print books. You can find e-books and print books the same way, through Western's OMNI Library Catalogue. You can search by a known title or author, by keyword, or by subject. When you find an e-book in the OMNI Library Catalogue, there will be a link to access the title. Once at the provider's site, you will be able to read the book in your browser. When you find a print book in the Catalogue, it will list a call number, as well as the library location which holds the title, so you can find it.
