SimplyAnalytics is a web-based mapping, analytics, and data visualization application. It includes demographic information, household spending data on hundreds of goods and services, as well as 1.3 million Canadian business profiles from Dun & Bradstreet. It also includes a premium marketing segmentation system called PRIZM5 that enables researchers to gain insight into communities and identify locations based on lifestyle traits.
Western students, faculty, and staff can access the database without creating an account by going to SimplyAnalytics and using the "Sign in as a guest" option. However, you must create an account in order to save any work performed using the database.
