Earlier called the British Journal of Ethnomusicology

Published by the US branch of the International Association for the Study of Popular Music (IASPM), this journal focuses on Anglo-American popular music. Still, coverage of non-Western pop music appears regularly in its pages.

A long-standing publication of the Canadian Society for Traditional Music, earlier issues appeared under the titles Canadian Folk Music Journal (1972-1995) and Canadian Journal for Traditional Music (1996-2006)

LIke the Journal of Popular Music Studies, Popular Music and Society occasionally publishes analyses of non-Western popular music.
