Western Libraries has an extensive Microforms Collection, which includes several historical Southwestern Ontario newspapers published in London and the surrounding area, as well as major Canadian and international newspapers. The microfilm copies of newspapers and microfilm readers are on the ground floor of the D. B. Weldon Library. Search for individual titles using the Journal Search in Western’s Library Catalogue (Omni) to identify which newspapers are available on microfilm.
At times you will find that other libraries have microfilm copies of newspapers that are unavailable at Western Libraries. In these cases, you can request them using our Interlibrary Loans service. Once your request has arrived, you can go to the ground floor of the D. B. Weldon Library to use the microfilm readers.
