The Solo Music Reference Collection (SMRC) contains music for solo instruments or solo instrument with keyboard accompaniment. The SMRC should be used to supplement the music found in the main collection of the Music Library. Most of the music is not standard repertoire. An interesting assortment of unusual and twentieth-century music may be found in this collection.
The SMRC is housed in the Choral/Band/Orchestral (CBO) Library (Room 134, Talbot College). These scores may be signed out from the CBO Library for a 28-day loan, and can be renewed. Access to the collection is restricted to the hours of opening of the CBO Library.
The SMRC does not appear in the Western Libraries catalogue. Each numbered section is arranged alphabetically by composer's surname. The general classification numbers for music in the SMRC are found below.
