Research Impact

To register for a Web of Science researcher profile:

1. Go to the Web of Science registration page
2. Select the 'Register' tab. (If you already have an account for Web of Science or other products Clarivate (e.g., InCites, EndNote), select the "sign in" tab to enter your credentials.)
3. Use your @uwo.ca email address

You can edit your profile to include published names, primary organisation, peer review preferences and sync with ORCID. then, Web of Science will automatically search for any publications that match the name and email address provided and will add them to your profile.

To sync your Web of Science research profile with ORCID:

1. Sign into your Web of Science account
2. Go to 'Profile Settings' (located under your name drop-down menu)
3. Click the 'ORCID Syncing' tab
4. Click the 'Connect your ORCID ID' button to link both profiles
5. Sign into ORCID
6. Confirm your sign-in details
7. Select the 'Authorize access' button

This process will revert to the Web of Science profile settings menu and display your linked ORCID. You can toggle syncing and permission settings between profiles.

Publications imported from ORCID will now display on the main Researcher Profile page and on the 'My publication records' page (access via the '+ Add publications' button).

If incorrect publications have been included on your author record:

1. Choose the author record
2. ‘Submit a correction'. This will open the Author Record Correction Form
3. Check the box next to any incorrectly attributed publication(s) to remove them from the author record

We recommended you regularly check your ResearcherID profile to ensure your outputs have all been correctly affiliated to you. We also recommend you link your ORCiD to your ResearcherID.

Contact Web of Science support if the author search returns multiple author records in your name. Make sure you have registered and have logged into your Web of Science personal user account. Claimed records are identified by a green tick.
