Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC)

BMC is an 8-10 hour self-paced e-learning course that provides a visual introduction to the financial markets and the Bloomberg platform. To get the BMC certificate, you must complete the 4 compulsory modules (additional optional modules are available). There is no grade requirement to acquire the certificate - it's a certificate of completion.

Bring your own wired headphones (wireless won't connect) or borrow ones from the Library Info Desk.

Access BMC

Any current student, staff, or faculty member at Western is eligible to do the BMC training. The Bloomberg terminals require an active Western ID - alumni and guests are not eligible.

The BMC course is only available from the Bloomberg workstations. To access BMC:

  2. Log in to your Bloomberg account or follow the steps to create an account
