Bloomberg

Bloomberg provides global financial and business information on market sectors such as equities, indices, derivatives, commodities and futures, currencies, industries and more. Bloomberg provides live and historical data, news, charts, graphs, and filings.

Bloomberg can only be accessed from the dedicated terminals or workstations. There are 8 located at the Business Library. Users cannot access the workstations remotely.

The Bloomberg computers require an active Western Identity - alumni and guests are not eligible for access.

Any of the workstations in the Business Library can be booked in advance of your visit for up to 2 hours per day.

To use Bloomberg you need to create your own account:

1. Login to a Bloomberg terminal with your Western ID and password
2. Open the Bloomberg program on the desktop
3. Select Create a New Login

4. Fill out the information required and then click Next
   • You must use your @uwo.ca email
   • You can use the same phone number for both Company and Mobile Phone
   • You do not need to fill in the Bloomberg Profile section

5. Select either email or phone call for delivery of the verification code. The text messages often take several minutes to be delivered.

5. Enter the verification code and your account should be ready.
